When we are closed

The practice is responsible for providing your care between 8.00am - 6.30pm on working week days, but outside of these hours your care is delivered by an alternative provider.

If you have a non-urgent or non-life-threatening problem when we are closed, you have the choice of:
• look after yourself
• visit a pharmacy to get advice or treatments over the counter
• use the Urgent Treatment Centre walk-in service (at Royal South Hants Hospital)
• call NHS 111 to get advice or an appointment at a GP Hub or Out-of-Hours Centre

If you have a problem that is very urgent or life-threatening when we are closed:
• call South Coast Ambulance Service on 999 (or 112)
• visit the Emergency Department at Southampton General Hospital

The NHS defines very urgent or life-threatening as including:
• loss of consciousness
• acute confused state and fits that are not stopping
• chest pain
• breathing difficulties
• severe bleeding that cannot be stopped
• severe allergic reactions
• severe burns or scalds
• stroke
