Urgent Treatment [walk-in] Centre (RSH)

The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) is able to deal with a host of less serious problems that do not require the more advanced services needed at an Emergency Department.

You do not need an appointment as they offer a walk in service, but you can book an appointment by calling NHS 111 to reserve a time instead. They are open 0730 - 2200 Monday - Friday & 0800 - 2200 at weekends & on public holidays.

You do not need to be registered with them or with a Southampton GP to access their service, so if you have not registered with a GP, this service will help you.

They have x-ray facilities (for adults) and can therefore deal with most trips, falls, sprains and breaks. They can deal with cuts, burns, grazes and other injuries that require simple dressings.

Normally, they have nurse prescribers who can deal with most of the common ailments.
