Scribe Software (Ambient Voice Recognition)

The practice is currently using ambient voice recognition software provided by Accurx and Surgery Intellect. This software listens to conversations between clinicians and patients in order to transcribe them into text format for inclusion in the patient record. After review by a clinician, these will get saved onto your record. The purpose of using this software is to reduce the high administrative burden on clinicians and allow them to focus more on patient care.

The software only listens when a clinician is in a consultation room with a patient and has activated the software. The audio data is processed securely and in compliance with data protection regulations. Only authorised personnel have access to the transcriptions, and the data is stored securely to protect patient confidentiality.
