How to request a home visit

So that we may work efficiently, we ask that all requests for home visits are made before 11am.

Please remember that a home visit is made where it is medically impossible for a patient to get to the surgery. Common situations that we might visit for are terminal care, the unwell elderly, etc

Home visits are not made because of a lack of transport, social reasons or personal reasons. It takes the same amount of time to do one home visit that it might to see 3-5 patients in the surgery, so we will not visit unless it is for serious medical reasons that travel is impossible.

It is also important to remember that a visit is made at the doctor's discretion and not that of the person requesting the visit.

Being seen in the surgery allows a better consultation too - all of the equipment and services that we need are available to us.
